Welcome to my homepage!

I am an Associate Professor at Yau Mathematical Sciences Center, Tsinghua University.

Prior to joining Tsinghua, I was a departmental postdoc in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. My postdoc mentor was Jian Ding. I obtained my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics at UCLA in 2019, under the supervision of Jun Yin. I also got a Ph.D. in Physics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014, under the supervision of Ren-Bao Liu. I received my Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in 2009.

Research Interest

I am interested in probability, statistics, and mathematical physics, with a focus on random matrix theory. I have been working on the following topics:

  • Anderson model and random band matrices

  • Random matrices, random graphs, and free probability methods

  • High-dimensional statistics and statistical machine learning
